CNC Input Codes and Format | ![]() SuperCam reads CNC code files and will send the appropriate motor signals outthe parallel printer port if the machine is SELECTED, or it will just display thetool path in the graphics area that the CNC program generates. inp_cnc - Reads CNC .TXT files, if the table is selected, the machine willfollow the code commands. If not selected, the toolpath is only displayed in the graphics area on the screen. Shift-F2 toggles the draw_up flag, when this flag is on the spindle cursor is displayed at all times. When the draw_up flag is off, the spindle location cursor is displayed only when the machine is moving slowly. readcnc - Reads CNC .TXT files to the screen. Text only display. |
Interpreted CNC G & M Codes Table| G & M CODE | INTERPRETED ACTION | G00 | Transverse travel, movement paths are drawn in MAGENTA. | G01 | Cutting travel, movement paths are determined by the setcolor command. | G02 | Arc Clockwise, X & Y ending coordinates, I & J center offsets from beginning location. | G03 | Arc Counter-Clockwise, X & Y ending coordinates, I & J center offsets from beginning location. | M03 | Relay A on, Spindle on. | M05 | Relay A off, Spindle off. | M08 | Relay B on, Coolant on. | M09 | Relay B off, Coolant off. | | |
All other commands are ignored. | ![]() The feed rates are taken from variables set by the settrvl and setcutcommands. Moves after a G00 command are made at the travel rate set by the operator. Moves after G01 commands are made at the cut speed set by the operator. The M codes control the state of the relay control lines at the parallel printer port. The pin affected is determined by the setptyp command. The codes are ignored if the portmode command has been set for phase mode, this is for MAXNCelectronic motor drive circuitry. |
