| arc | Used to draw arc. Prompts for center, start angle, end angle, radius of arc. | |
Dimensions for the arc are prompted for in the command line, which is located below the graphics window. The dimensions for the arc can be entered by the keyboard or by selecting points in the graphics window.
When selecting the arc command the command line prompts for the arc center. An x,y coordinate must be given by left clicking with the mouse in the graphics window or by keyboard entry. To end the selection, after a keyboard entry has been made, the right mouse button or enter on the keyboard must be pressed. When making the selection with the mouse the arc center is already put in memory. The arc will be drawn in the direction (CW-clockwise or CCW-counterclockwise) that has already been entered in setarcdir (set arc direction).
The command line will display the coordinates of the arc center and also prompt for the start angle. If entering by the keyboard this angle must be a whole number (>or =0 and <or =360). A point can also be selected in the graphics window using the left mouse key (which will end the selection).
The command line will now display the coordinates for the arc center, the start angle, and prompt for the end angle. The arc will be drawn in the direction already set from the start angle to the end angle. Entering the end angle works the same as the start angle. The command line will now display the arc center, start angle, end angle and prompt for the radius of the arc. A positive integer must be entered if using the keyboard. Once again the mouse can be used for this selection by left clicking in the graphics window.
The arc is now drawn in the graphics window and the command is ended. If another arc is desired, right clicking on the mouse button will start the arc command over again.
