The cut ramp command can be selected from the Setup pull-down menu or by entering "setcramp" on the command line.

Selecting the mconfig command, in the Setup pull-down menu, displays a window where the value for the cut ramp speed can be entered also. This window contains all the commands that are listed separately in the Setup pull-down menu.

The cut ramp is the rate the tool increases speed per step to reach the cut slew speed. The cut ramp decreases at the same rate, from a predetermined distance calculated within the program, when nearing the next node.

Using the function Shift-F3, the display flag toggles ON/OFF. By setting this function to the ON mode, all the nodes for the graphics items are displayed.

If a value is set for the cut slew, then this value will control the maximum speed it will ramp up to. If the cut ramp has a value other than zero and the cut slew is set at zero, the program will assign a value for the cut slew. When the cut ramp is set at zero, the tool cuts at a constant rate set by the setcut command

When selecting the cut ramp command, the command line prompts, "Setramp, XY Ramp Incr to Slew CUT Rate 0:".

The new value can be entered on the command line, then clicking the right mouse button or pressing the Enter key on the keyboard sets the new value. If the desired value is already displayed, click the right mouse button or press the Enter key on the keyboard.

To resume the cut ramp command, click the right mouse button.
