The saveas command can be selected from the FILE pull-down menu or by entering "saveas" on the command line.
When selecting the saveas command, a window is displayed to save the contents of the buffer to a file with the extension .cam.
The name of the file must be changed before selecting the OK button or the command line will prompt, "D:\SUPERCAM\TEST.dxf Over Write <Y:N>?. Clicking the left or right mouse button selects yes or no respectively or pressing the "y" or "n" key on the keyboard. By selecting no, the command line will display, "No File Saved". The display window will return as before.
To change the name of the file, click the left mouse button in the File text box. The text box will highlight blue. By clicking the right mouse button or pressing Enter on the keyboard the text will be erased. Enter the new name for the file. Click the right mouse button or press the Enter key, then select the OK button. The new file is now saved and displayed in the graphics window.
Leaving the contents of the Directory text box at the default "c:\ Supercam" the file will be saved to the sub-directory in Supercam.
The file can be saved to any drive by entering the correct path in the Directory text box. To save to the floppy drive, enter "a:" in the Directory text box.
To resume the saveas command, click the right mouse button or press Enter on the keyboard.
